Throw all the water you want through that "B" side window, but it's not going to put out that attic fire!  I didn't see any lines going into the house.  Did anyone ever make entry?  Looked like it was defensive from the start, for some reason.

WTH? 9 minutes of wasted video.. didnt appear that any progress was being made.. And the fire at the end looked like it may have been being pushed by a ppv fan possibly??

I was wondering the same thing.  Why do anything at all? Just put a line on the exposures and let the house burn to the ground.  This is the video that gives good vollie outfits a bad name.

With the exception of the lack of SCBA on those personnel in the IDLH, I have more questions than comments.

1)  Why were they spraying water on the B side?
2)  Were there any interior companies working at all?
3)  If there weren't any interior crews why wasn't the ladder used to put out the attic fire?

If anyone in the know can answer these questions I think this could be a could discussion.

Looks like hydraulic venting at the end, meaning someone finally decided pissing on it from the outside was not working.  Finally they went in to put it out.  Seemed to be a lot of wasted water in an area obviously hampered with little to no water as evidenced by the tankers.

The description lists nearly 20 companies that responded. I am not sure why so many were needed, but of those, none wanted to go in and deal with what appears to be a relatively simple evolution? Something is missing because this did not appear to be a major incident that required more than a couple of pumpers and a truck to resolve. Anyone have more information?

Also, the apparatus placement looked like a logistical nightmare.

Lucky for the resident that this thing was not burning very hard.

I thought it was odd the ladder truck blocked a tanker from pulling away and letting another in .

So a slow fire burning the Tower couldnt wait a minute or 2 for that tanker to pull away from the dump tank. and the Tower would have had a better spot to work. then the tankers could have got around the Tower and dump into the dump tank and the main pumper could have supplied the Tower. And the hoselines on the fire could have kept working. My question during this fire did they run out of water on the firegrounds?

WOW, was this video all shot on the same day or was some on day 2 of the fire? Looked like a simple interior attck was needed to pull ceiling and hit it.. lack of urgency is pretty apparent.

Nearly 20 mutual aid company's!!!! Amazing. Lets hope the majority were for water supply, even so it seems excessive. I did not see any evidence of roof ventilation, the fire through the roof near the end appears to be caused by burn through not truck work. Interior attack? Should have been a relatively routine job, 2 Engines 2 Trucks, 2 Tankers, vent roof, pull ceiling(s), attack the fire.

BK I heard a saw running and then you see them punching the ceiling through from the bucket so I am pretty sure they did vertical late. I am from out West so I'm not dialed on back East construction, but this looked to be balloon framed. Fire got in the wall and went to the attic as evidenced early by the lazy brown smoke from the gables. No one realized it or failed to get ahead of it early and boom, you got a fully involved attic later.
