Was getting chest pains there for a minute! Seemed like an extended time getting H2O on this one.. Could be wrong... Nice job! Once you got taped into the Water Tower in town, looks like it went down pretty quick! Do you practice a "quick attack" with booster tank ops or wait for the 4" and city water to flow?? Just wondering! Thanks!!! Nice truckie work at the end too.. 6' hooks and all! Sweet!

Seemed like a good fire guys but I disagree with wanderson...2 out of 5 or 6 guys wearing the proper PPE seems poor in my opinion. If you aren't taking care of yourself, how are you gonna help others. I know this was a vacant house, but what if, upon arrival, with the front door open, the interior attack guys found 4 victims? Now you waste valuable time donning a pack and trying to get caught up to the scenario. I feel it is ALWAYS better to go into any situation preparing for the worst and changing once on scene. The human mind can dial down much faster than it can ramp up to something of that situation, if that were the case. In other words, it is much easier to prepare for worse and dial down rather than prepare for nothing and try catching up to a bad situation. Also, with the video lapses, it seemed like an eternity to get water on this one. If you are confident it is vacant and no potential for victims, why not pull a cross lay or trash line and put a quick knock on it from the outside then move interior to mop up? Glad everythinmg turned out good, but please guys....WEAR YOUR GEAR...ALL OF IT!!! Keep up the good work.

Poor job with the SCBA. Did anyone else notice the guy walking into the building 2:30 into the video, right into all that black smoke? Just stupid!!!

Alot of the guys who normally discuss must be on vacation...300 word dissertations on the need for SCBAs for a car fire but not much on the heavy smoke, heavy fire structure w/ no pack, not buttoned/zipped coat, suspenders hangin guy at tucked in the front door not once but twice. Owell i'll check back in a couple of days when they get back from Disney World.

No not on vacation just tired of arguing with people who don't get it.
I let myself break my own rule...Never argue with a moron they just bring you down to there level and beat you with experience. I have found it alot nicer to just enjoy the videos.

561, enjoy the car fire from Spring, TX... I agree with you... Machoism loves misery! Coughing up black stuff, use of inhalers, early retirement with us paying the bill..... I agree, some DON"t get it! hang in there brother!

The firefighter that enters the house without an SCBA on is a prime example of why we still have so many LODD's. Plus the fact that it was a vacant house. WTF! Risk little to save a little folks. Your life is worth more than some empty house. Be safe!

I guess this came in literally one block from the station. How else could that firefighter not even have found the time to throw his suspenders over his shoulders - much less snap up his coat??
Seriously, that was some woo-woo hero shit. I cringe when I'm forced to work with idiots like that. What was his purpose for squatting at the door? I didn't see him deliver tools, hump hose, pull slack, relay a message or anything else of value.
He wanted "get all up in it" and got caught on tape. What a jack-ass.
Everyone else did good.
